This interview is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

The Department of Health is offering assistance to organizations that want to help increase the state’s vaccination rate.

Kim Malsam-Rysdon is the secretary of health.  She says there’s an online assistance form to host a COVID-19 vaccination event, in partnership with a local vaccine provider.

Malsam-Rysdon says the health department hopes the effort removes barriers by offering the vaccine in spaces people already are.

"Now that we have adequate supply, and we have made a lot of vaccine access points available — we just want to continue that trend and keep making it available to folks.”

Organizations looking to host a local vaccination event can fill out a secure online request form here.
