Doug Sombke is a fourth-generation Brown County farmer and president of South Dakota Farmers Union, one of South Dakota’s largest agriculture organizations.

Instead of catching up with Farmers Union members during the State Fair, Farmers Union President Doug Sombke was at home battling for every breath. Fully vaccinated, Sombke contracted COVID-19. He shares his story with Lura Roti for SDPB.
