All of South Dakota is now at low or medium COVID spread

The CDC reports that all of South Dakota is now at low or medium COVID-19 spread level. The agency says vulnerable populations should continue taking basic precautions.

The number of South Dakotans actively infected with COVID-19 has fallen to about 3,000.

The latest report from the state Department of Health includes five new deaths, bringing the state’s toll to 2,853.

There are 88 people with COVID in South Dakota hospitals.
