South Dakota telemedicine company crosses into Minnesota

A South Dakota telemedicine company – Avel – is expanding its footprint into Minnesota.

The Murray County Ambulance Service, which is just past the state line, is the first in Minnesota to implement Avel’s eCare EMS telemedicine system.

Through this system, EMS agencies in urban, rural, or underserved areas can access additional emergency physicians and nurses for immediate support in the field.

The service has already been implemented across much of the state of South Dakota.
