Gov. Kristi Noem has proclaimed 2024 to be "Freedom for Life Year" in South Dakota.

The proclamation comes after life was one of the top ten freedoms listed in the governor's State of the State speech.

"We care about the lives of our mothers and children. We have dedicated resources and time," said Noem in her speech.

The state has launched a website to help families find resources for pregnancy, adoption, parenting, and financial assistance.

"We are doing all of this and so much more to help moms, families, and their babies both before and after," Noem said.
