No, not everybody in South Dakota will be cheering for the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl this Sunday, but a lot will, and yes, some of them just want to see the New England Patriots lose. For a strong margin of South Dakotans, their preference will sway towards the Seahawks, because of rookie left guard, and fellow South Dakotan, Grey Zabel.

Another year is in the books, but it's safe to say 2025 didn't disappoint. It was filled with some fantastic moments at the SDHSAA events. We wanted to share some of SDPB's favorite memories from the year.

The South Dakota Football Coaches Association has chosen their All-State high school football teams for the seven classes of the South Dakota High School Activities Association and All Nations Football Conference.

It was a rematch for the championship in Class 11AAA this season. However, this time it was a different team hoisting the top hardware. Brandon Valley defeated Sioux Falls Lincoln 34-27 on Saturday night in Vermillion at the Dakota Dome to win the title.

It was a rematch from a year ago, but with a different result. Sioux Falls Christian held on late to defeat Lennox 28-24 in the 2025 11A game.

Since beginning her judging career in 1968, she has officiated at 46 of the past 51 state meets, helping shape the sport since its sanctioning in 1976.
