Championship season is underway in South Dakota with high school boys golf and girls tennis starting it off.

Lance Christensen of Little Wound finished the National High School Invitational golf event tied for 133 out of 250 participants.

High school senior golfers flocked to Pierre on Monday for an opportunity to represent their schools one more time. The 'Senior Showcase' event went off without a hitch.
