Hay Fever Affecting the Your Sense of Taste?

Believe it or not, increased secretions that accompany the common cold or hay fever can change the taste of the foods we eat. Many of the tastes we associate with different foods are not experienced through our sense of taste, but our sense of smell. Increased secretions can cover our smell receptors in our nose reducing our ability to smell and taste. David Pogue with NOVA scienceNOW explores the sense of smell and taste. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/body/neuroscience-taste.html
