The West Mall-7 Theater in Sioux Falls is going to show the controversial film "The Interview," starting on Wednesday Dec. 31. The Historic Elks Theater in Rapid City, which is similar to the West Mall-7 theater in Sioux Falls, as both are discount theaters, started showing 'The Interview' the day after Christmas.
Sony originally pulled this movie, after North Korean Hackers threatened a cyber attack on the United States. The movie depicts a fictional assassination attempt on Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea. Since the release of the film last week, the movie has brought in over $18 million from online rentals, digital purchases, and theater screenings.
