SD Bachelor of the Year

Cosmopolitan magazine recently released its Bachelor of the Year 2012 finalists, one from each state, with Newley Kartak, a BHSU admissions counselor, voted as South Dakota’s bachelor of the year.  Originally from Colome, S.D., Kartak graduated from BHSU last May with a degree in communication arts and business administration. In 2010, Kartak was named BHSU homecoming king.  As a student, Kartak was also active in the BHSU track and field and rodeo teams. He is now vying for Cosmo’s top honor of Bachelor of the Year 2012 along with $10,000. The contest ends Thursday, Oct. 18 at 6 a.m. EST.
