Sioux Falls Surveys Residents

Hannah Olsen

The city of Sioux Falls is asking its residents to share how they feel about their city and local government.  Three thousand surveys are being sent out across Sioux Falls to find out areas the city is doing well in and what areas need improvement. The survey questions range from public safety to community quality to infrastructure and run down buildings.

At a press conference Monday Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether said resident input is important for keeping the city moving forward.
“To me I’m never satisfied with not only my on performance but the performance of the team as a whole, cause I always want to reach for that next step, reach for that next step, reach for that next step. I want to see the goods, I want to see the bads and I want to identify are there any uglies out there that as a mayor I need to address or as a council or a city team we need to address," said Huether.

Huether said he likes to see areas the city is doing well in but says he feels it is critical to know the areas in need. The survey is being mailed to the selected residents next week. A sample of the survey can be found on the city of Sioux Falls' web page: www.siouxfalls.org.
