The Affordable Care marketplace for 2015 is open and the website appears to be functioning well. An insurance agent in Rapid City says changes in South Dakota this year have to do with the price of policies. He tells SDPB’s Victoria Wicks one thing that has not changed is the state’s Medicaid gap that leaves thousands of South Dakotans without health insurance.
If you had Marketplace coverage in 2014, it ends on December 31st. To renew it, talk to your provider. To change policies, you’ll have to act fast. Monday is the deadline for that, and it’s also the deadline to get coverage that starts January 1st. The last day to sign up for coverage in 2015 is February 15th.
