South Dakotans can experience an old-fashioned Christmas this Saturday at Fort Sisseton State Park. Park Manager Christopher Soukup says the annual Frontier Christmas features sleigh or wagon rides, crafts, butter making, bread baking, music, and more.
“And I really want people to kind of experience Christmas how it used to be, without a lot of the commercialism, without a lot of the new fancy bells and whistles, kind of go back to where it came from,” Soukup says.
Soukup says the event runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, closing with a tree lighting and caroling ceremony.
