A man previously convicted of child abuse is getting a new trial in Rapid City. Patrick White Face’s conviction was overturned by the South Dakota Supreme Court in December. But now the new trial is on hold until state Supreme Court justices decide whether to hear an interim appeal in the case regarding the structuring of the indictment. White Face made an appearance in Seventh Circuit Court Tuesday before Judge Wally Ecklund.
