2018 Interfaith Day At Legislative Session

In The Moment ... January 16, 2018 Show 256 Hour 1

Last week, the first ever Interfaith Day was held in the capitol rotunda in Pierre on the second legislative day in 2018.

Members from the state's Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Baha'i, Roman Catholic and Episcopalian faiths joined Lutherans in Interfaith Day.

Today we welcome three South Dakota leaders who participated in the gathering. Bishop David Zellmer leads the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's South Dakota Synod. Taneeza Islam is an immigration attorney and executive director for South Dakota Voices for Peace and Justice. Stan Adelstein is a former South Dakota state lawmaker.
