Once people lose touch with and lose respect for the truth, bad things start to unravel.

Those were the words of media expert Thomas Patterson. He is the author of the 2018 One Book South Dakota who discussed the state of news at the September Festival of Books in Brookings.

Thomas Patterson returned to the state this month for its One Book Tour. He visits the Rapid City Library on Friday, October 26^th at 6:30 p.m. Followed by the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre at 3:00 p. m. on Saturday, October 27^th. And concludes his trip on Sunday, October 28^th at the Avera Prairie Center in Sioux Falls, starting at 2:30 p. m.
