Stephen Crowley began his career taking pictures for a small newspaper in Florida. He later worked at the Washington bureau of the New York Times. In 2002, he was cited as Photographer of the Year by the White House Photographer's Association.

Thursday, Crowley presents at McCrory Gardens in Brookings where he'll discuss photojournalism, journalism and media in changing times.

Crowley joins In The Moment from the Jeanine Basinger Studio at South Dakota State University in Brookings.
