An explosion at a home in southeast South Dakota left one person dead and two others hurt.
The explosion and ensuing fire took place Wednesday morning at a residence a few miles south of Humboldt.
According to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, three people were inside the home at time. One man died from his injuries. Another man and a woman were hospitalized. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
