What kind of building does one need to experience South Dakota’s stories? As the South Dakota State Historical Society collects, preserves, interprets, and publishes our history for present and future generations, it needs a place to do that and a place for the public to experience the past. As the society completes final preparations for renovating its current facility, the Cultural Heritage Center, I talked with the Assistant Society Director David Grabitske about the Society’s past and future plans.
