History 605 S5 Ep2: History Below the Pines

Ways To Subscribe

We spoke with Levi Kessler about his "History Below the Pines" project in the Black Hills. A native of Aberdeen and current resident of Spearfish, Levi has run with his curiosity to assist property owners with the history of their land. Many historic sites such as unused and abandoned churches, schools, houses, mills, caves, mines, and ghost towns are on private land and often go unnoticed by the public. Yet they have great historic value and fascinating stories. Such work is not for everyone and of course needs to be done with the land owners' support. With such support, Levi has helped landowners learn much more about their own land and its history. He shares his experiences and how you can find out more about his work. See his social media at: HISTORY BELOW THE PINES - YouTube.
