In the run-up to marking the nation's 250th anniversary next year, we talked to historian, author, and podcaster Albert Zambone. His biography of Daniel Morgan walks readers through the life of an American who came from poverty and rose to great prominence - largely due to the stunning victory over the British at Cowpens. But, he was involved in more than only one key battle and his experiences are emblematic of many patriots. The man was everywhere in the war and went from epic campaign, to prisoner, to victorious general. For more of Al's work see his great podcast, "Historically Thinking."
Season 5, Ep 15: An America 250 Special, "Daniel Morgan: A Revolutionary Life."
