As some who are deep in Laura Ingalls Wilder lore know, her daughter Rose Wilder Lane was instrumental in founding modern Libertarian political thought. In this episode, we speak to Dedra Birzer who has recently written an essay in "South Dakota History," about Lane's writing, her career, and her work to imbue the pioneer spirit into American political life. Birzer is continuing her research with the goal of writing a full-length biography of Lane.
