On today's In the Moment...

South Dakota scientists are looking back through time to ancient worlds and the beginnings of the universe.

Cabot-Ann Christofferson joins us to recount the findings from the Majorana Demonstrator. The project at the Sanford Underground Research Facility has been listening to the universe for the past few years. So, what has it heard?

Laurie Anderson, Ph.D., is a geologist, paleontologist and South Dakota Mines professor. She's received one of the most distinguished honors in the scientific community and is making some history while doing it.

We'll check in on South Dakota's 24/7 Sobriety Program. New research shows that the program may lower death rates for those enrolled in it. Beau Kilmer, Ph.D., is a co-author of the study and here to discuss its implications.

As the final days of session count down, legislators run against a ticking clock. Most lawmakers want to cut taxes. The question is how. Listen to lawmakers discuss the issue in their own words during a passionate and partisan debate. And SDPB's Lee Strubinger brings another look at more tax cut proposals.

Plus, pop on a box set and enjoy a new episode of Fresh Tracks.
