Meet a few of North America's fossilized & mummified mammoths

On today's show...

A mummified 30-thousand-year-old baby woolly mammoth was pulled from the Canadian permafrost in 2022. The project’s lead researcher will present on the discovery in Hot Springs on Wednesday for the 50th anniversary of the Mammoth Site.

We preview the event with Chris Jass, Ph.D., director of research at the site. He talks about what makes this find so rare and looks back at 50 years of science at the South Dakotan museum and dig site.

Our Teacher Talk panel takes us to Finland. We get a view from Finnish classrooms and explore why their education system is often rated the best in the world.

Read their companion blog post.

We learn about the 56th Annual Red Cloud Art Show and the continuum of indigenous art it celebrates and preserves.

Plus, more from our conversation with Mato Wayuhi. He talks about how his new album almost didn't come to be and how he has learned to preserve his well-being in the music and television industry.
