SDPB heads to the classroom at Eugene Field A+ Elementary in Sioux Falls during the school's day to celebrate all the ways kids are smart. (The school is guided by educator Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences.)

We set up our podcasting equipment in the library and gathered some classroom instruments. Kindergartners, first graders and second graders helped perform a classic children's book for public radio listeners.

Earlier this year, SDPB's Lori Walsh recorded interviews with third, fourth and fifth graders at Eugene Field. We offer a sampling of stories about what the students think the future might hold.

Lori Walsh is a special correspondent with SDPB and host of the "In the Moment" podcast.
