Governor Kristi Noem ordered two state agencies to assist and welcome a trucker convoy that passed through the state recently. The group was on its way to Washington, D.C., to protest COVID-19 restrictions.   
State lawmakers passed a bill requiring legislative oversight for any new programs that result from incoming federal money. Governor Kristi Noem is critical of the bill saying it creates a full-time legislature.

State lawmakers are passing a state budget.
Lawmakers are using $600 million in federal dollars as water and wastewater infrastructure grants. They’re also funding a majority of the $200 million in housing infrastructure grants.

House impeachment officials are directing their legal counsel to craft a written report on their findings. The report is based on the committee’s investigation surrounding the fatal crash involving Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.

There’s renewed interest from some Republicans to restart construction on the Keystone XL Pipeline project. They say it can help combat high oil prices. But the company says that’s not happening.

Ateyapi Kicopi: “Calling Back our Fathers” is an educational event hosted by the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board. The one-day event features education sessions on families, family strengthening, mental health and community resources.
