An Indigenous rights group has filed a federal lawsuit against owners of a Rapid City hotel and lounge for discrimination. The civil suit was filed on Wednesday by NDN Collective of Rapid City and two named individuals who were turned away when they tried to check into the hotel.
Gov. Kristi Noem has signed a bill that would make the state one of the most difficult places to get abortion pills, though most of the law will not be enacted unless the state prevails in a federal court battle.
Planned Parenthood North Central States recently received an unexpected donation. MacKenzie Scott gifted $20 million. Scott is the former wife of Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos.
Sioux Falls will see a number of major street construction projects this year. That includes the interchange at 1-29 and 41st street. Construction there is scheduled to begin on March 28th and last about two years.
