An indigenous-run public radio station on the Pine Ridge Reservation is kicking off a capital campaign for a new facility.

A 28-year-old man died early Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash west of Lead. Preliminary reports say the man was driving westbound on U-S Highway 14A. He failed to negotiate a curve and lost control, crossing the eastbound lane into a ditch.

The South Dakota attorney general has found that a Rapid City police officer was justified in shooting at a woman seven times as she backed her car into a police squad car during a May pursuit.

Sioux Falls providers are looking for help to make childcare more available and affordable in the city. Providers say they’re facing challenges hiring qualified employees, and paying them a competitive wage.
