Thousands of South Dakotans could be without Medicaid coverage in the coming months. That's because the South Dakota Department of Social Services is purging its pandemic Medicaid rolls following the coronavirus public health emergency expiration.

The debate over the next generation of social studies standards in the state has its final public hearing in Pierre next Monday. Now, some school administrators are joining the ever-growing opposition.

A former Republican state senate candidate will serve ten years in prison for two felony counts of incest. Joel Koskan pleaded guilty to both charges in Hughes County Court Tuesday.
