On today's update...

Rapid City has once again been named one of the fastest-growing cities in the country — and the fastest in the Midwest. With new growth comes new challenges though.

The city of Sioux Falls is encouraging residents to apply for programs to help with home repairs. Some of the programs provide financial assistance to homeowners to pay for things like leaking roofs, electrical work or sidewalk repairs.

Another small South Dakota community is ready to expand. People representing the city of Salem say it's the perfect balance between rural charm and city access.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks are teaming up to spread awareness about the dangers of operating boats and all-terrain vehicles while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Veronica Hawman, regional executive director for MADD says the partnership aims to educate people.

And more.
