Some anglers believe crossbows present a safety hazard and an unfair advantage when it comes to fishing for paddlefish. The Game, Fish, and Parks commission approved crossbows as an acceptable tool for harvesting paddlefish last year.
It's boating season and onshore anglers are asking boaters to respect 'no-wake zones.' Jonathan Magyar brought a petition to the Game, Fish, and Parks commission seeking a rule change on a 'no-wake zone' distance at Cedar Shore Recreation Area in Chamberlain.
