Sioux Falls police have made an arrest in connection to a homicide investigation. Officers found the body of a 63-year-old man at an apartment near Falls Park Wednesday.
The Attorney General's office says a state review found a Rapid City police officer was justified in fatally shooting a man during an incident in May. Police say officers responded to a call of two men who were refusing to leave a residence.
Protestors made a collection of demands and shut down a downtown Rapid City street on the Fourth of July. The protest focused on policing of the local Native community. Now, police are responding to these pleas.
