Governor Kristi Noem is calling on tribes to join law enforcement agreements with the state to combat public safety issues on reservations. That comes during tense relations between the administration and tribal governments—eight of nine have banished her from reservations.

South Dakotans will vote on whether to legalize abortion in November. That's according to the Secretary of State's office, which validated the proposed ballot question Thursday.

The Attorney General's Office releases final ballot explanations for two potential constitutional amendments put forth by South Dakota legislators. Both proposed amendments will appear on this year's general election ballot.

South Dakota at last has a full court staff with the approval of two new federal judges for the district. Both were supported with large, bipartisan majorities.

The Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act passes Congress with unanimous support from South Dakota's delegation. Representative Dusty Johnson joined an overwhelming majority of fellow House members in approving the act.
