Gov. Kristi Noem is now banned from all nine tribal reservations in South Dakota. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe is the latest tribe to prohibit the governor from entering their land.

Rapid City and Ellsworth Air Force Base are working closely together to provide clean water to residents inside and outside Rapid City's borders. This comes as the base deals with an ongoing problem—firefighting chemicals used long ago.

The National Tribal Healthcare Conference was held in Rapid City this year, a major event for the Monument theater downtown. With 1,600 attendees, the event also brought key figures from D.C.

Following the rejection of a prior proposal, the city of Sturgis is set to host a flat track race during the annual motorcycle rally. The city council unanimously approved the new race proposal.

People packed the Fort Randal Casino lobby near Lake Andes to witness a display of Indigenous fashion. Runway models donned more than 50 designs representing several Native American tribes.
