More than 50 percent of respondents to a new University of South Dakota survey say they support Constitutional Amendment H. The amendment creates top-two primaries for governor, Congress, and state legislative and county races regardless of political party.

Supporters of Leonard Peltier calling for his release spent the parole hearing outlining his re-entry plan and what his release would mean for Indian country. The parole board is expected to decide by early July.

Sioux Falls families may need to find a new middle school following the local board’s decision to rebuild Whittier Middle. The project is expected to begin as soon as possible.

Water issues are a concern shared by communities big and small. At a Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club meeting, the mayors of Harrisburg, Crooks, and Hartford all discussed the water needs facing their communities.
