On today's update...

Planned Parenthood North Central States is marking the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision by decrying the reproductive health care landscape in the Upper Midwest. South Dakota, which is in the organization's region, has a near total abortion ban.

Governor Kristi Noem signs an executive order granting an hours-of-service waiver for certain products being transported through South Dakota. The order exempts drivers carrying flood relief supplies from federal motor carrier regulations regarding hours of service.

As southeast South Dakota deals with flooding, some local city officials say the natural disaster has brought communities together. The city of Canton is among the communities facing the worst flooding.

Following the outbreak of plague among prairie dogs in the Badlands, the National Parks Service is beginning to treat the affected mounds. As a result, the Sage Creek Campground will be closed all day Tuesday.
