Sen. Mike Rounds says candidate Kamala Harris announcing Gov. Tim Walz as her VP candidate could impact the Farm Bill. Before the announcement, Rounds said the presidential election is delaying the process in the Senate.

Dusty Johnson is pushing back against allegations that a provision in the House's Farm Bill protects a major biotech company from lawsuits. An article from the Washington Post alleges a provision in the bill would force many to drop lawsuits against the company Bayer.

Changes have been made to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) program. While that could mean trouble for new applicants, there are paths to take for assistance.

An anonymous donation is paying for elementary school lunches for the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland School District. The donor says they want to inspire similar direct actions across the state to keep kids fed.
