On today's update...

In November, South Dakotans will vote on whether to place abortion rights into the state constitution. It's the third time in 20 years the electorate has weighed in on abortion.

State projections to 2032 for occupational employment show an expected growth in many job areas. The Department of Labor is expecting an almost eight percent increase in employment in the next 10 years. That equates to more than 39,000 jobs in the state.

The state Supreme Court is assessing what can or can't be used as evidence in murder cases. The question—should prior crimes be allowable evidence in a homicide trial?

Some SDSU students spoke to South Dakota's Board of Regents about issues important to them. The requests—if approved—are slated to take effect in fiscal year 2030.
