Rapid City police are asking the public for help in an incident over the weekend. Police say they responded to a report of gunshots in the 800 block of Jackson Blvd. Friday night.

Sioux Falls Police say a 38-year-old man was shot and died in an apartment complex on Dec. 26. They say an arrest has not been made, but the department has a person of interest in the case.

Former South Dakota U.S. Sen. Tom Daschle considered Jimmy Carter a personal friend. Carter was president when Daschle was first elected to Congress.

The Sioux Falls City Council finalizes a purchase agreement for land that could turn into the Riverline District. The purchase agreement is for a 7.2-acre parcel of land at the edge of downtown Sioux Falls.
