The South Dakota House of Representatives is passing a bill that requires anyone accessing pornography online to verify they are over the age of 18. There's a competing proposal in the state Senate.

The state Senate is advancing SJR 502 to the Senate floor. It calls for a Convention of States to amend the U.S. Constitution.

Chairman Garrett Renville of the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribe delivered the annual State of the Tribes Address in the opening week of the legislature. Renville's message was loud and clear — the state and tribes need to work together to amend past wrongs and build a stronger, unified future.
