A school district facing declining enrollment is debating whether to build and pay for a new school or dissolve entirely. The Oldham-Ramona-Rutland school district held its first informational public meeting in regard to a possible dissolution.
The Rapid City Area School District has had its share of criticism this year, and the biggest piece of said criticism is now before the courts. In a lawsuit, the former superintendent alleges pay disparities and her unlawful termination.
The 100th Session of the South Dakota State Legislature ended a little over a month ago. However, many interested parties -including the economic community- have already started preparations for the next one.
The South Dakota Library Association announced that the state library will receive full federal funding. Previously, library officials anticipated they would receive only half of the full Institute of Museum and Library Services grant.
