A provision in the reconciliation bill, which President Donald Trump calls the “big, beautiful bill,” prohibits states from regulating Artificial Intelligence, or AI, for a decade.

The South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation finalized the sale of a golf course just outside Sioux Falls that’s been a decade in the making. The foundation purchased Spring Creek Golf Course in 2015 with plans to incorporate it into Good Earth State Park. However, after local opposition, the foundation decided the best path forward was to sell the property as a golf course.

South Dakota Trade partnered with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development to lead a trade mission to Mexico in search of expanding the state’s trade markets. SDPB’s Jackson Dircks sat down with new SD Trade President and CEO Jesse Fonkert to talk about the mission and accomplishments he said went with it.
