USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins says mass deportations of undocumented immigrants will be done everywhere, including farm country. She says the plan is to have a 100% American workforce. However, those in the ag industry question what this would look like in practice.

The state’s prison system is overcrowded. As a result, the state has been looking at options to move forward. That includes both building new facilities and keying in on potential reforms to lower recidivism rates.

Congress is considering a rescission package that would take back over $1 Billion in previously approved funding for public media. Such a recession would affect local stations like SDPB and tribal stations that rely on federal funding.

U.S. Senator Mike Rounds is co-introducing a bipartisan bill called “The Reducing Homelessness Through Reform Act.” Rounds says the bill cuts red tape allowing local solutions for addressing homelessness.
