The State Department of Education found modest successes and areas in need of improvement on the 2024-25 state report cards.

The US Department of Agriculture is projecting a record corn crop this harvest, largely due to the largest acreage worked in 92 years. That means more supply and lower prices per bushel to follow. However, lower prices benefit one South Dakota industry: ethanol.

Gov. Larry Rhoden is announcing his plan to provide state funding toward the Rapid City and Sioux Falls airport expansions. He plans to bring legislation in the upcoming legislative session to help the growing airports.
