A bill creating a homeowner tax reduction fund unanimously passes through the Senate Taxation Committee.
A bill that throws a wrench in some property tax relief plans has survived its first steps in the Appropriations Committee. The proposal would make plans to pay for property tax relief with sales taxes much harder.
Property tax relief could come in the form of online sports betting. A Senate committee is advancing a resolution that asks voters if they support the prospect in November.
