The Senate Judiciary Committee is advancing a bill that creates an enhanced penalty for animal abuse. This follows a report of the killing a horse West River.

Cell phones in classrooms have been a debate since the smart phone became ubiquitous in the early 2010s. Now, a bill to unplug every student in South Dakota has some battery life.

Another candidate is vying for South Dakota’s governor seat; the second Democrat announces. Dan Ahlers is the Executive Director of the South Dakota Democratic Party. He officially threw his hat in the ring in front of a Sioux Falls crowd.
