The Government Accountability Board has dismissed a complaint against Gov. Kristi Noem over her use of the state plane.
The complaint was filed by former Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg. It argued Noem used the plane for personal trips to political events.
On Tuesday, all three members of the board voted to dismiss the complaint. They ruled while state law only allows use of the plane for state business, the law does not define what state business is.
Noem’s office has not responded to a request for comment on the board’s decision.
The governor previously called the complaint a political attack. Noem said Ravnsborg filed the complaint in after she called for him to step down for his role in a fatal crash.
