Lori Walsh spoke with PBS FRONTLINE correspondent Martin Smith Tuesday. "America and the Taliban" is Smith's new three-part film series for FRONTLINE.
In the series, Smith sat down with American officials and Taliban leaders for a look at how the past 20 years of war have brought us to where we are today.
He's the documentary series' correspondent, director, producer and writer. His reporting partner is Marcela Gaviria, who is also a producer, director and writer on the series.
"America and the Taliban" airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. CT, 8 p.m. MT, on PBS stations and FRONTLINE's YouTube channel. It airs on April 4, 11 and 25.
Each episode will be available to stream starting at 6 p.m. CT, 5 p.m. MT, on the night of its release at pbs.org/frontline and in the PBS video app.
