Noem calls Trump verdict 'wrongful conviction'

Governor Kristi Noem is reacting to what she calls the “wrongful” felony conviction against former President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts for falsifying business documents in a hush money case. Trump is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

On social media, Noem is calling the judge overseeing the case “conflicted,” the jury "stacked” and the lead prosecutor a “radical leftist.”

Noem—a staunch Trump supporter and considered in the running for Trump’s VP pick—endorsed the former president during a rally in Rapid City last August.

Trump is expected to appeal the decision. Noem said Trump will be “easily vindicated soon.”
