About 200 voter registrations were challenged by a Lincoln County man on election day, officials said.
The challenge was submitted by petitioner Mick Baruth just hours after polls opened and challenged the applications on the ground of residency requirements, according to the Lincoln County Auditor's Office.
The challenge was ultimately denied on the grounds that residency was not challengeable under the law cited.
According to the law cited, the right to vote may be challenged only as to the persons identity claim on registration, a felony charge, or a declaration of mental incompetency.
